Kallmes, Melissa

Hello! My name is Melissa Kallmes and I am thrilled to be a part of LeTip! I am originally from Susanville, CA and now reside in Redding, CA. I have been in the hospitality field since 2009 and have worked at 3 different hotel properties throughout my career. Prior to starting my professional career I attended college at Sacramento State University and studied hospitality management and commercial tourism. After graduating in 2009, my internship hotel offered me a full time Sales and Events Manager position with a Hilton property where I worked for almost 2 years. I then moved to Redding, CA. where I started a 12 year stretch working at a Choice brand hotel. I started there as a Banquet Captain and put my Food & Beverage serving background to the test. I quickly moved through the ranks from Banquet Captain to Catering Sales Manager to Director of Catering. I was awarded Director of Catering of the Year for Hostmark Hospitality in 2017. I then worked my way up to the Director of Sales & Marketing role where I worked in group sales from 2019 to 2023. In May of 2023 my dream job at the Sheraton Redding at the Sundial Bridge became available and I went for it. This was the best decision of my professional career and I am so happy to work with an amazing team at a beautiful property!
